A PT boat (short for patrol torpedo boat) was a motor torpedo boat used by the United States Navy in World War II. It was small, fast, and inexpensive to build, valued for its maneuverability, speed, and lethality in coastal waters. In the USN they were organized in Motor Torpedo Boat Squadrons (MTBRONs).

Torpedoes

Four Mk.13 torpedoes were standard ordnance on a motor torpedo boat. Detailed with molded and brass parts, these non-functional torpedoes are enough to ward off any foes.

Molded Hull

The durable molded fiberglass hull is computer designed for scale accuracy and practical stability. With the included basic display stand, this functioning RC model also serves as an attractive desktop display!

Highly Detailed

Details are found on every surface of the vessel, with several moving parts that can be manually positioned for display or when on patrol. The vessel arrives fully painted and ready for action.

Triple Motor Drive System

Three 550 sized brushed electric motors propel this patrol boat to high speeds, accelerating to maximum speed from a standstill in less than three seconds! Three rudders ensure positive control authority at all times while the vessel is underway. Six molded “exhaust mufflers” accentuate the transom.

AA Guns

A powerful 40mm Bofors gun dominates the vessel’s stern, and can be positioned upward for aircraft threats or downrange for surface targets.

Bancroft model boats are molded and hand finished using very intricate details and parts including metal, wood, plastic, and fiberglass. Because of their hand made nature, minor imperfections in the fiberglass, metalwork, or painting may exist. These potential imperfections will not affect the seaworthiness of the vessel or the overall scale boating experience. Bancroft scale RC boats are fragile so care should be taken when moving or transporting your model.

Some of the electronics in this Bancroft boat, including the Battery, ESC, Motor, and Receiver, are NOT intended to get wet; they are NOT water resistant. If any of these electronic components get wet and you attempt to operate your model, the water can cause an electrical short-circuit and void your warranty. In the rare instance that you get water inside your vessel, you should drain the water completely and allow all electronics to fully dry before attempting to operate your model.
